Bio
I'm originally from Damar, KS, where I graduated from Palco High School in 2002. I went on to get my degree in Physical Education from Washburn University in 2008. I have since went on to earn my Master's Degree in Building Leadership and Administration for Fort Hays State University in 2018. I also have endorsements to teach Health and Driver's Education from Emporia St. University. I taught one year of K-6 PE at Wanamaker Elementary in Topeka, KS, then moved to Logan, KS where I taught for the past 4 years. My teaching assignments included K-5 PE, 9th PE/health, and Weights teacher. I was also the head high school football coach and head high school girls basketball coach. Some of my coaching highlights include back-to-back state tournament appearances in 2011 and 2012 as the head girls basketball coach, and I was also selected to coach in the Sunflower Showdown All-Star game and NWK Colby All-Star Game. I then served in various roles at USD 294, including teaching physical education and Activities Director for the past 6 years. This is my seventh year in Oberlin, and I will now begin my role as the Elementary Principal, while still serving as the 7-12 Activities Director, Assistant Football Coach, and Head Girls Basketball Coach. I have been happily married for 13 years to my wife Tina, and I have four beautiful children. Breyana is my oldest, and just started high school, Brady is a 4th grader, Brooklynn is a 3rd grader, and Beau is in the 4 year old preschool program. I'm looking forward to beginning my new journey, and another great year at USD 294!
